Key Responsibilities

  • Review service recovery reports and recommend scalable actions based on patient feedback.
  • Oversee the Methodist Scholars and Fellowship program to nurture future healthcare leaders.
  • Engage in clinical and operations collaborative meetings to drive strategic initiatives.
  • Enhance infectious disease clinician scheduling for maximum efficiency and impact.
  • Lead the quality oversight of the infectious disease team ensuring excellence in care.
  • Set and be accountable for departmental goals, driving progress and innovation.
  • Collaborate with the Medical Director on performance reviews, ensuring optimal team performance.
  • Conduct and lead the service line-specific monthly provider meetings when the Medical Director is unavailable.
  • Commit to at least one on-site clinic visit per week to maintain direct contact with operations and patient care.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Graduation from an accredited medical school with an M.D. or D.O. designation.
  • Credentialed and privileged according to Legacy’s standards and practices.
  • Board certification in a primary specialty (Pediatrics, Adult Medicine, Family Practice).
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a leadership role, preferably within a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC).
  • Proven experience in infectious disease care, with a preference for completion of an Infectious Disease Fellowship and board certification in this specialty.
